Ecomama — quality children's clothing and textiles

Velsoft (cut pile terry)

A knitted fabric with a soft, high pile. Velsoft is practical to wear: it does not shrink when washed and retains its shape.

Velour

An elegant knitted fabric with a soft pile. Does not lose its shape when washed.

Interlock

Exceptionally gentle on a baby's skin, it retains heat and provides comfort and convenience. Breathable and air-permeable. Completely safe and suitable for children with sensitive skin. Resistant to deformation — it returns to its original shape after stretching, does not unravel or fade when washed. Used to make vests, T-shirts, underwear, cardigans, suits, rompers, dresses, onesies and much more.

Kapiton (quilted fabric)

An insulated three-layer knitted fabric with a diamond or square stitch effect. Dense, voluminous and soft to the touch. Warmer than brushed cotton. Keeps babies warm in cold weather while remaining breathable.

Kashkorse-combi (brushed rib)

An elastic knitted fabric. Does not shrink or fade when washed, holds its shape well.

Kulir (single jersey)

A thin, smooth fabric. The face side shows flat vertical loops; the reverse side has a dense "brick" texture. Stretches well widthwise, barely creases. The thinnest cotton knit — clothing made from it is light and airy. Used for underwear and summer clothing. Perfect for hot summer days: breathable, does not fade when washed, but may shrink slightly.

Multirib (pointelle)

Elastic, highly breathable and air-permeable. Used primarily for underwear: briefs, vests and clothing for newborns.

Polyester

A synthetic fabric that is pleasant to the touch, similar in softness to natural cotton. Polyester garments require minimal care. Excellent breathability provides a light, cool feeling against the skin — especially important on hot summer days. Dries quickly.

Ribana (rib knit)

An elastic cotton knitted fabric with a fine vertical stripe. Durable, non-stretch, virtually no shrinkage, strong. Thanks to the woven rubber thread, it retains its original shape even after many washes. The ribbed structure absorbs moisture well. Breathable and air-permeable. Ideal for children's clothing.

Calico

A light cotton fabric with a plain weave. Widely used thanks to the variety of patterns, colours and finishing methods. Popular for children's clothing, especially for the youngest. Breathable and air-permeable. Requires minimal care. Also used for making nappies and swaddle blankets.

Stretch jersey (fulikra)

A fabric made from standard cotton with an interwoven elastane thread, providing softness and elasticity. Comfortable and elegant to wear.

Three-thread brushed fleece

A warm, comfortable fabric. Clothing made from this fabric is warm, practical and elegant.

Flannel

A natural cotton fabric with a plain or twill weave and a light two-sided nap. The soft, fluffy surface retains heat exceptionally well. Its gentleness makes it ideal for babies' delicate skin — non-irritating and recommended for sensitive skin. Light, dense and comfortable for everyday wear. Used to make clothing for newborns: nappies, warm rompers, shirts and robes.

Fleece

A synthetic "wool" made from polyester microfibre. Light, elastic and soft to the touch. Does not absorb moisture but wicks it away. Excellent heat retention with unique thermoregulation properties. Despite being synthetic, it has high breathability and hygroscopicity, and dries very quickly. Used for warm sportswear: hats, jumpers and jackets.

Brushed cotton (футер)

A natural material, incredibly soft and gentle. Light, retains heat well, breathable. Available in printed, marl or solid colours. Soft and caring for a child's skin — babies will be warm and comfortable in clothing made from this fabric. Used to make nappies, bonnets, rompers, booties, cardigans and other children's clothing. Does not fade when washed but may shrink slightly.

Elastane (lycra)

Usually added to other fibres such as viscose, cotton or silk. Adds softness and elasticity to the fabric.
